I am a Software Engineer currently solving problems in Python, AWS, notepad, and the kitchen.
I most enjoy creating a fun team atmosphere, contributing, two stroke engines, and the immortal genius of Sim City 4's soundtrack
I was born in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Appalachia. The son of a Dietitian and Diesel Mechanic. Watching my parents boppin' around Southwest Virginia made me really understand and appreciate the changing times of the Coal, Lumber, and the Railroad. This most immediately surfaced in the form of photography, which was my ticket into college. I freshman'd at Virginia Commonwealth University where I saw Shaka Smart take the rams on a Cinderella story through the Final Four during March Madness. Soon after, I pivoted to Virginia Tech to pursue a more science-y education.
From flippin' burgers at Tech to flippin' burgers in Northern California, not much had changed aside from rent. I had my first great break into the professional scene working in Finance for California's Public schools, learning the political woes of educational finance. There, trying to make my life easier, I picked up "Automate the Boring Stuff" and the rest is pretty much history.
